The SC-View application program allows the user to manage, control and configure the Sensor Connectivity unit (SC).The SC unit configuration contents a series of parameters which enables the unit to:

• acquire the data (i.e. measures) coming from external sensors, through the data acquisition cards (phase of configuration of the single cards operative parameters)
• reorganize and appropriately line all the information one behind the other in a single data vector, complying with the MODBUS protocol (phase of re-processing and sending of data to the visualization Client stations).

In the figure below the configuration process of an SC unit is represented.

More in detail, SC-View application program allows:

• to define, for each slot (i.e. the physical position of the SC unit rack housing a card), the card type utilized (SC-AI, SC-COM, etc.) and the associated configuration parameters;
• to define the structure of the protocol packets used to transfer the data to the system Clients in compliance with the standard MODBUS protocol;
• to manage the calibration of the single cards, as, for example, the inputs of the analog sensors for the SC-AI cards;
• to control the correct operation of the SC unit.
