SC-COM Serial card Module - Description
The SC-COM card (communication card for multi standard serial lines) allows the connection and the management of max 2 serial channels for sensors connection. It is able to manage each channel in an independent way from any others.
Each channel can be configured for serial communications of type:
- RS-232 (connection with one sensor only)
- RS-422 (multi point connection with max 10 sensors)
- RS-485 (multi point connection with max 32 sensors)
The SC-COM card, shown in the figure below, is suitable to be inserted into a unit rack and, on the front panel, presents all the connectors for external connections, as well as the operating status indicators.
At the back of the card, a single connector is present to be used for the connection of the card to the bus of the SC unit.
