The SC-AI card (analog intelligent acquisition card) allows the connection and the management of max 8 analog sensors. It is able to manage each channel in an independent way from any others.

Each channel can be configured for readings from sensors of type:

• Voltage, single ended (range: 0 to 10V)
• Current, single ended (range: 0 to 20mA)
• Voltage, differential (range: 0 to 10V)
• Current, differential (range: 0 to 10V)

so as to permit the connection of most of the analog sensors present on the market.

In addition, each channel is associated to a + 15V power line (max 150mA) to be used when the sensor requires an external power.

The SC-AI card, shown in the figure below, is suitable to be inserted into a unit rack and, on the front panel, presents all the connectors for external connections, as well as the operating status indicators.

At the back of the card, a single connector is present to be used for the connection of the card to the bus of the SC unit.
