Hardware structure - Main Frame assy

The Mainframe assy is a structure entirely made of aluminium, so as to meet the requirements of lightness and remarkable resistance. The Mainframe, shown in the figure below, is able to house 10 slots: the first two on the left are reserved to the SC-ETX and SC-MCC cards, the remaining 8 are reserved to the intelligent cards. Each slot is equipped with guides for an easy insertion of the cards. The BUS board presents, on the front side, all the connectors needed to link each card.

8 Free Slots are available and ready to host plugable smart modules for any needs, a modular system means a definitive device An intelligent module work in a standalone mode, without using the core memory and resources

As shown in the figure below, at the back of the Mainframe the Power Supply / HUB Switch assy is present, which is composed of:a Power Suppy unit able to supply the +5Vdc voltage to power the cards and the ±15Vdc voltage to power the external sensors (by connecting each line to the BUS board).a 10/100 HUB Switch used to connect the external network line, the SC-MCC and SC-ETX cards. On the external side the following elements are present: the power lines indicators (n. 3 green LEDs), the RJ45 connector for 10/100 Mbps Ethernet network connection and the mains socket with integrated power switch. In the next subparagraphs a detailed description of the Power Supply and 10/100 Hub Switch units is given.

On the rear panel you can plug power and lan connectors, the portable mainframe make the sensor connectivity very easy to install everywhere Sensor Connectivity rear view

Other hardware parts

The Power Supply / HUB Switch assy shown in the figure below receives at the input the 220Vac 50 Hz mains voltage and generates all the needed output power lines.

Power Supply / Hub Switch assy

A multi-port switch it's available and it can be used to manage high performance switched networks, by linking the SC-ETX card, the SC-MCC card and the external PC Networks.

A linux core module grant system stability, it's also available a windows xp module, ready to provide a desktop

Sensor Connectivity modules make the sensor connectivity a definitive hardware, you can plug different kind of modules to satisfy any needs.
